Pendant plus de 30 ans, WR a construit avec passion des voitures de course en catégorie « Sport-Proto » pour participer à la prestigieuse course des
« 24 Heures du Mans ».

Tous ces prototypes porteront une identité commune, imaginée par Gérard WELTER.
C’est en 1976, que Gérard WELTER engagera sa première voiture aux 24 Heures du Mans sous le sigle WM (Welter- Meunier)
L’histoire WM s’achèvera en 1989 avec la conception de la WM P400 N° 51 qui marquera les mémoires par l’établissement d’un record de vitesse à 405 km/h jamais battu à ce jour.
Fort de son expérience et de son esprit novateur, il s’en suivra la naissance de WR (Welter Racing) qui créera une grande lignée de barquettes, toutes conçues dans la recherche de la performance en exploitant les nouvelles technologies et process de fabrication.

Fière de son histoire, l’écurie fait à présent le choix de s’orienter vers la compétition historique en participant à des épreuves emblématiques à travers le monde pour se mesurer une fois encore aux meilleurs et réitérer ses victoires d’antan.

For over 30 years, WR has built with passion racing cars for the “Sport-Proto” category” in order to participate in the prestigious race of “24 Hours of the Mans”.
All these prototypes will share a similar identity, that of which is imagined by Gérard WELTER.
In 1976, that Gérard WELTER engaged his first racing car to “24 Hours of the Mans” under the acronym of WM (Welter – Meunier).
The WM marks an end by 1989 with design of the WM P400 N°51.
To this day it sparks memories due to its unbeatable speed record of 405 km/h.
With his innovative mindset and remarkable spirit, WR (Welter Racing) will be born which will create a great line of trays; all designed for the pursuit of great performance and by exploiting the new technologies and manufacturing processes.
As proud as we are of his achievement, the team is now choosing to orient themselves into a competition that would yet again mark history by participating in iconic events around the world to once again compete against the best and reincarnate its former victories.
